38 Weeks

  • I'm feeling pretty good for the most part. Sitting and squatting are quite uncomfortable. This baby is LOW. I'm so ridiculously tired, and I don't want to move, but I make myself walk everyday.
  • I started using Weston's Hippity Hop ball (that he got from his sister and her family) more this week. I do light bouncing {in place, not around the house!} and different exercises to help with my back. Surprisingly it has helped!! My back is feeling better.
  • I didn't mention this before, but at our last ultra sound (at 35 weeks), the ultra sound tech told us that the baby has hair. I asked if it was the normal peach fuzz, and she said it was floating around in the fluid! I had loads of black hair when I was born.
  • Westy finished the nursery. The only thing we have in there is the dresser (pictured below). We don't have knobs on the dresser yet, but we aren't in a rush. My sister Jennifer is making me a really cute piece of art to put in the baby's room. She does a fab job.
  •  This is where the crib is going:
  • On Monday, I went fabric shopping to make two baby blankets. I filled my cart so full with fleece patterns. Of course I took pictures of options and sent them to my trusty stylist (Jennifer). I have a few pictures below of some of the fabrics I obsessed over. I finished one blanket (literally took one hour), and I'm going to finish the second tomorrow. The fabric I used for the first blanket is the umbrella print in the first picture and the top right fabric in the second picture. The second blanket fabric is the top right in the first picture and the other side isn't pictured.

  •  I have never made a baby blanket before! Kinda surprising, right?!  I tried doing round corners; they weren't perfect, but for my first try, I was happy ;).

  •  I also made a few headbands this week. Weston asked if we could make a headband together. We decided to try to make some owls. My owl is the turquoise and Westy's is the pink. I don't have a picture of the final product.

Love these pictures- and your hubby did a great job on his owl. I used the same fabric (bird with blue and yellow trees for a blanket for Lexie only the colors were purple and pink.) You have excellent taste!
